Dana C. Kemper
Note from Laurie Ohall, Founding Attorney of Law Offices of Laurie E. Ohall P.A.
Since the inception of our firm, our mission has been clear: to provide quality life-care planning services and legal representation to seniors, families and the most vulnerable members of our society that have been left behind or greatly underserved for decades. As part of that mission, I took steps to become a distinguished Florida Board Certified Elder Law Attorney many years ago – there are not that many attorneys that can say they are Board Certified. I cannot be prouder to announce today that our firm has added an additional board-certified attorney, now that attorney Dana Kemper has also earned the distinction from the Florida Bar Association. Our official firm announcement follows. – Laurie
We are pleased to announce that our very own Dana Kemper has become one of a small percentage of attorneys in the state to be designated a Florida Board Certified Elder Law Attorney. Laurie Ohall, the founding attorney of Law Offices of Laurie E. Ohall P.A., P.A., is also a distinguished Florida Board Certified Elder Law Attorney in the practice that is focused on serving the legal needs of seniors and their family members/caregivers in Florida.
Why Certification in Elder Law Is So Important
Attorneys certified in elder law offer you something that other attorneys do not: professional expertise in the unique needs of older, maturing populations. Board-Certified Elder Law attorneys are not just authorities on legal issues affecting seniors, they are also familiar with other vital resources and services – both public and private – that can help meet the needs of senior citizens, including those with disabilities.
What a Certified Elder Law Attorney Can Do For You
With professional expertise in the following areas, a Florida Board Certified Elder Law Attorney is your best choice for important issues facing older Americans, such as:
- Health and long-term care planning
- Public benefits (such as Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and Veterans’ benefits)
- Guardianships and Conservatorships
- Estate planning
- Surrogate decision-making (powers of attorney, conservatorship and guardianship)
- Establishment of the legal capacity of an older person
- Special needs counseling (trusts, housing, employment and education)
