The Harm Florida Medicaid Reform Will Cause Senior Citizens Spousal Refusal

Current proposed legislation in Florida strikes a blow to family values because it proposes to no longer allow a husband or wife to protect their individual assets when the other gets ill, putting life savings at risk.  That means elderly couples may have to get divorced in order to afford care for their loved one. Older people need love too!

Urge your legislators to vote against the Destruction of Marriage Act!

Current proposed legislation in Florida would eliminate a spouse’s ability to protect their hard earned assets if their husband/wife gets ill. That means some will be financially forced to keep the ill spouse at home instead of at a costly medical facility. This will foster bad medicine.
